Mount Pleasant KOA

March 2020

AT&T Data speeds: 4mb Down and 9mb Upload

“Pretty little campground. Wish we could have explored the area more”

We were a little nervous at first this campsite would be closed due to #COVID and being a KOA! But we hadn't heard anything on our route, and yes it was open. The site was gravel and mud/grass and not very level. About 4" out. We had another pull through so that saved a bit of time.

You are allowed fences again which was nice and the sun was shining which made for a pleasant arrival.

The lady & gentleman on reception were both nice, apologetic for the lack of local things to do thanks to the shutdown. But to be honest this campsite is really nice, 1 huge dog walking field with a pond (catch and release only) down one end. Then further up you have a good size playground and pretty pool area. Oddly there is one residential house next to it. But the other side of the house is a nice big offleash dog park again.

This campsite holds about 70 rigs. They differ in price if you want the fancy patio ones of just mud like us. The restrooms are large and clean. Laundry Facilities were small but all open and working. They have propane and a dumpster at the entrance to the park.

You are within walking distance of a Dollar General, a gas station and an Applebee's Grill + Bar.

Internet is bad here again 4mb down and 9mb up. Campsite wifi is around 1mb down and 4mb up.
