Sony A6600
This is pretty much the core of our channels B-roll. It's 4k, has a flip up screen, microphone port and because it's mirrorless, it's incredibly light and smaller than traditional DSLR's. The facial tracking is amazing (When you don't select 'spot focus' which we seem to do all the time!)
GoPro Hero 7 Black
We always have this on us in case we need to capture something in 4k. It small enough to put in a pocket and easy enough to video things inconspicuously (Like food in a restaurant or cars at a car show). We can also use it at the beach and in pools as its waterproof. We mainly use this to mount in the car for speaking bits and on top of the trailer for cool b-roll shots.
GoPro Hero 8
Ok, I'm going to be honest here....we don't own one of these because Natalie won't let us yet. I'm working on it though. We need a backup as we use the GoPro Hero 7 for so much, but I'd also like to use one for more b-roll and to get multiple camera angles for certain things.

GoPro accessories
There are loads of options of this stuff, but this is the kit that worked best for us. We don't use half of it, but I'm sure we'll use it all more and more as we go. The floating grip is the best thing, and obviously the extra mounts. It all comes in a handy case too.
GoPro Hero 7 Extra batteries & charger
Battery life on the GoPro can run down quick if you are out for a full day and these have been awesome. The charger is really handy too. It's cheap and works brilliantly.
GoPro Mic adapter
It annoys me that we even need to buy one of these. I would much prefer the GoPro case to be a tiny bit bigger and have a mic input built in....but no. If you want to connect a microphone, you need one of these....and it MUST be an official GoPro one, the fakes don't work.
Rode Video Micro
This is a tiny mic that we use for both the gopro and the Sony. Works really well for the price and its very small and inconspicuous.
Camera Tripod
Full disclosure that this isn't what we use, but it looks identical. We bought ours in 2015 for around the same price and this is what I'd buy if/when we buy again.
GoPro Hero 7 Mic & mic adapter holder
If you want to use a mic, you'll need a way to mount it on the GoPro. This is perfect as it does that and holds the Mic adapter too. It slides onto the top of the case. Easy to remove and install.
Micro SD Card
We have 4 of these and they work in both the Sony and the GoPro. Love them. 256gb is the perfect size.....enough to keep a bunch of footage on, but not too big that if you lose it, you'll lose months worth of footage that you didn't take off because there was still loads of space.
Go Pro Floaty Handgrip
Great for getting shot when you are on water and don't want to lose your expensive camera! We used this when we went kayaking and swimming.
Samsung 1TB SSD
So these are actually meant to go into a PC or Laptop, but I use them as external Hard Drives. They are SSds, so no moving parts and they are incredibly small and light. We have 4 of these for backups.
